Online Tourism Road Show Comes to Tanzania

E Tourism Frontiers, the leading global, online tourism training company will be hosting a series of one-day seminars in Tanzania in June. The company, which specializes in online tourism for emerging markets, will be holding seminars in Dar es Salaam on the 17th of June, Zanzibar on the 20th of June and in Arusha on the 22nd of June. The company last held training seminars in Tanzania in 2009 and the E Tourism East Africa conference in Nairobi last year was sold out.

With more than 60% of travel for both business and leisure now being booked online - it is crucial that the tourism sector across East Africa invests in online marketing and management.

Mr Damian Cook, the CEO of E Tourism Frontiers explains, “Travel is now the number one selling commodity online and is generating over US $150 billion annually in sales. However, only a small proportion of African tourism is sold online and finding and booking African destinations on the web can be a challenge. It is hoped that with more education and awareness, the tourism sector in the region will harness and implement online marketing tools”, said Cook.

The E Tourism East Africa Road Show, which is being sponsored by Kenya Commercial Bank, (KCB) and Visa, will include sessions on website development, e-commerce, online reservations and bookings, e-marketing, multimedia, user generated content, social networks, mobile marketing and much more. The seminars will explain the benefits of online payments and e-commerce and will also introduce real business solutions for tourism companies that may be struggling with reservation and booking systems.

.

The One-Day E Tourism seminars provide Certified Training from Professional International trainers and the ticket price of US $100 for tourism companies, includes an online Tourism Textbook, which will be given out to all delegates.
