Strong winds reaching 40km/hr and large waves exceeding 2.0 meters are expected along the entire coast.

Level of Confidence:

Medium: (60%)

Expected Area :

Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara regions together with Unguja and Pemba Isles.

This is due to deepening of low pressure system in the Indian Ocean near Comoro Isles which pull the winds from the northern Somali coast.

Advisory:

Sea users and Residents of high risk areas are advised to take necessary precautions.

Remarks:

TMA will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates accordingly.
