The Secretary General of the East African Community, Ambassador Juma V. Mwapachu (right), the U.S. Ambassador to the East African Community Alfonso E. Lenhardt (centre) and the USAID Regional Director Larry Meserve displaying signed copies of an Agreement between the U.S. Government, represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the East African Community to promote increased regional economic integration and development. The agreement worth US $ 7 million was signed on September 21, 2010 at the American Embassy in Dar es Salaam.
