DCDM East Africa, the fifth biggest accountang and auditing firm in Tanzania has become a member firm of BDO International, the world’s fifth largest auditing firm and will now be known as BDO International. By becoming a BDO member, the firm joinsd others around the world in network spanning more than 115 countries and nearly 1,100 offices

Speaking un Dar es Salaam at press conference to mark the occasion and announce their new name and logo, DCDM East Africa Partner Chanyera Lukumbo, Said “ This isi truly an exciting time in our history as we join a truly prestigious organization. BDO International is renown for uts performance and credibility around the world and by becoming a member firm DCDM East Africa is poised to elevate its position both in the country and in all the markets we operate. This is clear testimony to the record we have and commitment we pit to our work.”.
In the thirteen years DCDM East Africa has been operating in the country it has carried out work of national impontance inb servelfields including consulting in civil services reforms in mninistries and parastatals, privatization for Tanzania with reviw of the PSRC, a forensic study on behalf ot TRA and Investment promotion for Tanzania with DBSA and MIGA.

“As part of BDO we will now have access to extensive resources inclundind technology, expertise, training and personnel. It also means that we will be recognized among the world’s most respected entities and even more importantly oir work will carry it our commitment to serve the Tanzanian market better and more eagerly”, added Lukumbo.

BDO was foind inm 1963 as a group firm from US, Canada, The Netherlands, Germany and UK merge with the aim of providinmg better services to their customers. From its inception, the firm was known as Bider Seidman International Group until 1973 when it changed name to BDO. Today the audit and accounting firm has a workforce of more than 44,000 with around 1,100 offices in 115 coutreies around the world.
