Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, addresses the 6th Africa Water Week
at Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania,
Monday July 18, 2016. THE Africa Water Week (AWW) is organized by the African
Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) in conjunction with the African Union
Commission. The Africa’s flagship water
event represents a political commitment at the highest level for creating
platform to discuss and collectively seek solutions to Africa’s water and
sanitation challenges. The event which attracts over 1000 participants from
governments, regional institutions, international partners, the private sector,
the scientific community, civil society, and the media from all over the world,
and in particular Africa is held biennially as this year theme is “Setting the
Platform for Implementing the SDGs on Water Security and Sanitation.”
The
conference will come to an end on 22nd July, 2016. (PHOTO AND STORY
